Let me help you bridge the gap between vision and application to find a solution that’s both practical and innovative.

I have worked with communities across the country on equitable public health policy interventions.

I have been fortunate to partner with and learn from wonderful colleagues at organizations on the cutting edge of social justice and public health. In addition to my work at ChangeLab Solutions, the Public Health Institute, and the East Bay Community Law Center, I also served on the Advisory Committee of the California Department of Public Health’s Office of Health Equity from 2016 to 2019.

What I Offer

With more than two decades of experience in nonprofit leadership roles, I bring deep public health and policy experience to projects. I love working in interdisciplinary spaces to tackle thorny public health issues without clear solutions.

The image in my logo is a stylized Manel flower. The Manel flower is the national flower of Sri Lanka, the South Asian island nation where my father was from. The flower has significance in Sri Lankan culture and for the Buddhist religion.

It is said that when the Lord Buddha died, Manel flowers blossomed everywhere that he had stepped during his lifetime. Manel flowers grow in swamps and mud, symbolizing the creation of something pristine and beautiful out of unclear murkiness.

When I am not working, I spend time with my husband, my daughter and our Labrador Retriever. I love being outside hiking and camping. As a younger person I was a competitive fencer. I have returned to that sport after a two-decade break and enjoy competing in veteran tournaments.
